Peggy Lamon

Peggy Sue Lamon passed away Friday August 8, 2025 at the age of 85. Peggy was born in Prescott Arkansas on December 4,1939. She lived in Texarkana Texas her entire life and was a 1958 graduate of Texas High. She worked for the Camber of Commerce in her 20's and later for GTE. 

Upon retiring she became a member of Red Hats and learned to knit. She joined a knitting circle and won several awards at the fair for her creations. Peggy also enjoyed being out side and could usually be found sitting on her glider in front of her home with her friend Martha.

She loved to read and visit with friends and was an advocate for animals. She fed every cat in the neighborhood. She had a beautiful heart and a smile and soul to match. She loved her children and family fiercely and her love and presence will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents Dick and Maurice Richardson and her son Charles "Corky" Eason. She is survived by daughter Debbie Jones and son in law Zack, sons Richard Eason and Michael Lamon. Granddaughters Kristin and Kara Jones, Lakeland Lamon and grandson Travis Eason and 2great grand daughters. Also a sister Patricia Bishop, brother Don Richardson, and nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be announced at a later date. Mom enjoy your wings, you earned them.
