Obituary
Sandra “Sandy” Michelle Madewell
Sandra “Sandy” Michelle Madewell, age 57, clocked out of life’s shift on August 7, 2025, after spending her years making people laugh, telling it like it is, and collecting more stories than anyone could ever write down. Born November 1, 1967, Sandy had a knack for turning everyday life into something memorable—whether she was cracking a joke at just the right moment or turning a simple gathering into an event worth talking about for years.
Sandy believed in living life out loud. She could brighten a room faster than flipping a light switch, and her laugh was known to be highly contagious. She loved her people fiercely and was always ready with a hug, a listening ear, or a perfectly timed sarcastic comment.
She was preceded in death by her mother Mickey Hardey.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Madewell; her dad and stepmom, Bobby and Carolyn Boyce; her children, Chris and Nicole, Nick and Aimee Moses, Katie and Stephen Dorrough, Christopher and Devin Madewell, and Eric and Kaylee Madewell; her brothers Clay and Verionica Boyce, and Cody Chischilly; her sister Jaclyn and Jerry West; nieces and nephews Ryan, Kate, Justin, Kendele, Katie, Olivia, Caroline, and Maverick; and her beloved grandchildren Lainey, Kylie, Gabe, Kyron, Audree, Eryn, Sterling, Adyson, Riley, Grace, Jasmine, Jacqueline, Rose, Lilly, Aubree, Zach, and Daniel.
To honor Sandy’s life, the family invites you to come as you are to her celebration of life at Church On The Rock, Friday August 15th, 2:00 PM, Procession to follow at Chapelwood for Graveside Service . There will be more smiles than tears, and maybe even a few jokes she would have told herself.
In lieu of flowers, Sandy would probably tell you to go do something fun, eat dessert first, and make a memory worth talking about.
Because if she taught us anything, it’s that laughter is the best soundtrack to life.
