Anita Sue Mayfield
October 19, 1961 – August 4, 2025

Anita Sue Mayfield, 63, of Wilton, Arkansas, passed away on August 4, 2025, in Texarkana, Texas.

Anita was a woman who found joy in the simple things—fishing by the water’s edge, horseback riding through the countryside, and camping under the stars. She had a deep love for animals and was most passionate about her family, cherishing every moment spent with those she loved.

She was the devoted mother of LaDonna (Tommy) Fall of Cove, Arkansas, and Josh Withem of Ashdown, Arkansas, and the proud stepmother of Randy (Liz) Mayfield and Mark (Haley) Mayfield. Anita is also survived by her siblings, Ronald Langley of Texarkana, Arkansas; Jeanna (Don) Powell of Shreveport, Louisiana; and Vickie (Bill) Keller of Camden, Arkansas. She leaves behind three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many other cherished family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Mayfield; her parents, Jimmy and Dorothy Langley; and her granddaughter, Jessica Mann.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Tri-State Cremation and Funeral Services.

You will be truly missed She was the mother of my best friend, who is like a sister to me—but to me, Anita was so much more than that. I saw her as my second mom. She was a beautiful soul, full of life, warmth, and kindness. Always ready with a smile, a story, or a bit of wisdom, she had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved. The memories we shared will always hold a special place in my heart, from the laughter to the long talks, and the simple moments that meant so much. Anita, you will be deeply missed, but your love and spirit will live on in all who knew you.
