James McDonald was born July 14, 1946 in Calhoun, Texas and passed away peacefully at his home in New Boston, Texas, on July 24, 2025
James was a graduate of De Kalb High School and dedicated 36 years of his life to faithful service at Red River Army Depot. He was known for his strong work ethic, his easy smile, and his steady presence among colleagues and friends. In retirement, he enjoyed life to the fullest as an avid golfer and motorcycle enthusiast, spending countless days on the green or out on the open road.
He was a devoted husband to Elizabeth, with whom he shared over 59 years of love and companionship. James will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Tommie and Mary Jon McDonald, brother David Lynn McDonald, sister Darlene Newton and niece LaDana Wiley.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Elizabeth, son Anthony H. McDonald (Lisa), daughter Tena McGough, five grandchildren Casey Alramadhan (Amar). Alyssa McGough, Lauren McDonald, Kaleb McDonald (Gabbie), and Caitlin McDonald. One brother Tommy Lee McDonald and one sister Mary Ann Butler (Michael) One great-granddaughter Maddie Johnson, One sister-in-law Julia McDonald, Nephews and Nieces Joshua Glass (Cozette), Rachel Martinez (Wil), Darla Shippey (George), Lisa Conway, Chris Butler, Diane McDonald and several great nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones.
