Obituary
Juanita (Nita) Summers, 95, of Wake Village, Texas went to be with the Lord peacefully on July 20, 2025, with her son by her side. Nita was born in Genoa, Arkansas on January 10, 1930 to Linda Harvey Tutor and Walter Harvey who preceded her in death.
Nita was also preceded in death by her husband, Dexter Summers Sr.; her sister, Belinda McClurd; and a special friend, Johnny Young.
She is survived by her son, Dexter Summers Jr. and wife Cara of Wake Village, Texas; granddaughter, Jennifer Starrett and husband Steve; and great grandchildren, Riley and Addison Starrett.
After retiring from the meat market at Safeway, Nita worked many happy years at Sam’s Club as a demo lady. She added her secret ingredient (butter) to assure and retain her top sales position. Nita never met a stranger and enjoyed life to the fullest. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 23, 2025 at First Baptist Church Wake Village, TX.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the healthcare workers that have taken care of Nita over the last few years. Your special care and compassion will never be forgotten.
