Gilman Warren
December 13, 1944 - July 19, 2025
Obituary
Gilman Charles Warren, 80, of Fulton, AR, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 19, 2025. He was at his home and surrounded by family. Gil was born on December 13, 1944, in Fullerton, CA, the son of Herb and Kate (Allbee) Warren. He graduated from Fullerton Union High School and went on to earn an associate degree from Cal Poly Pomona before serving in the Army for 2 years, earning the rank of SP4.
Gil was a lifelong farmer. His family grew avocados and citrus when he was a child. After his service in the Army, he farmed for Marshburn farms in the Coachella Valley before moving to Fulton, AR, in 1982 to join his in-laws, the Struckmans, on the family farm. Gil was involved in transforming that farm from row crops to sod in the late 80s.
Although semi-retired, he still helped his son and grandsons with cattle and watermelons and was a top-notch parts runner. Gil loved his family first and foremost. He enjoyed horseback riding, calf roping, and hunting in his younger days and continued hunting and fishing in his later years. He was also a member of the Texarkana Arkansas Elks Lodge #399. His storytelling was and will remain legendary. He may have embellished a few details, but his stories were mostly true and thoroughly entertaining. If Gil was your friend, you wanted for nothing. He went above and beyond to help a friend in need and had a very generous spirit. He made an impact on many lives and will be sorely missed by all he touched.
Remaining to cherish Gil’s memory are Diane Warren, his wife of 56 years, his son Tommy (Jill) Warren of Fulton, AR, and his daughter Katie (Cliff) Rosa of Placentia, CA. He will also be missed by his grandchildren: Gus (Angel) Warren of Texarkana, AR; McCall Warren of Fulton, AR; Allie Rosa, Amy Rosa, Clay Rosa, Warren Rosa, and Jillian Rosa, all of Placentia, CA. Gil left a legacy to these grandchildren and his great-grandson, Charlie Warren of Texarkana, AR.
He is also survived by the following siblings: John (Penny) Warren of Riverside, CA; Alice (Gary) Jackson of Lake Perris, CA; Sally Mouser of Riverside, CA; Barbara (Marty) Shaffer of Yorba Linda, CA; and Julie (Fred) Robinson of Lempster, NH; as well as a very exceptional cousin, Claudia Carlson of Yorba Linda, CA, not to mention, many, many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
No local services will be held, and burial services will be at a later date in Nevada County, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tri-State Cremation and Funeral Services.
