Keith Bennett
April 26, 1957 - August 19, 2025
Obituary
Our brother, Keith Bennett, passed away today at the age of 68. Keith was diagnosed with brain cancer in February 2025. He graduated from Liberty Eylau High School in 1975. He played football in high school and their team went to state playoffs in Dallas at Texas Stadium in 1975, one of the highlights of his life. He played baseball from a young age and enjoyed watching sports throughout his lifetime.
He spent 4 years in the Air Force but never went far from home. Family and friends knew him as Bobo. He mainly worked as a carpenter but could do almost anything. In December 2024, he said he came to know the Lord and I pray that was a truth for him. As I sat beside him while he was dying, I couldn’t help but think how his life could have been different, better. The lives of his family, and especially his children, could have been different, better. Now, here at the end, he is alone but for Janet and I. His “friends” are not here. His family is not here. I pray that he has truly accepted Jesus, that he asked forgiveness for his sins and that he will have a new life in Heaven.
Keith was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Nell Bennett. He is survived by his 2 sons, Robert Bennett and Drew Bennett of Texarkana, 2 sisters Janet Ham of Texarkana and Pam Taveau of Mineola, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Regardless of all he was or wasn’t we loved him and we will miss him.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tri-State Cremation and Funeral Services.

Remembering Bobo. All his past was erased the moment he said Jesus I am a sinner ! But YOU are the SAVIOUR ! His shed blood blotted the past out! He is Loving on Jesus now!

We’re very sorry to hear about Bobo’s passing. I had known him since the first grade and his grandparents were very close friends with my grandparents. To me he was like an extended part of our family. I hope he was able to make peace with the Lord. God bless him and all of his family.
