Doyle "Rick" Cochran

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Doyle “Rick” Cochran Jr, age 75, of Texarkana, TX, who went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 20, 2025. Rick was born at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, on February 26, 1950. He was surrounded by his loving wife, children and granddaughter in his last days.

Rick was the beloved Husband of Cheryl Cochran and their nearly 40 years together has given us so many memories to cherish. He was known for his love of hunting, fishing and golfing. He will be remembered for his legacy of playing the spoons and his unwavering love for his family.

Rick is survived by his wife, Cheryl. His daughter Sandra Syphers of Hooks, TX. Sons Justin Cochran of Hooks, TX, Drew Cochran of Bella Vista, AR and Glen Davis of Midland, TX. He is survived by one sister, Janette Hanson of Garland, TX. Grandchildren Sierra, Londyn, Zariah, Haizley, Zayla and Kyzen whom he loved dearly and knew him as “Papaw.” He enjoyed spending time with them doing the simple things in life like building snowmen or going fishing. In his later years Rick enjoyed playing cards with his wife Cheryl and their neighbor Jerry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Vivian Cochran, sister Ann Stone and brother David Cochran.

His Celebration of Life will be held on June 7, 2025 from 10-2 at the home of Shan and Sandra Syphers. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Rick to join in honoring his memory.
