Lester W. Smith Sr.
June 7, 1965 – May 6, 2025

Lester W. Smith Sr., age 59, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, surrounded by beloved family. Born on June 7, 1965, Lester was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His life was marked by unwavering dedication to his family and community. His life was full of love, laughter, and devotion.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and David Whiteman, and brother DeWayne Whiteman, sister in law Rachel Smith, mother in law Judy Copeland, and uncle Paul Besham.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Nova Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Lauryn and Elijah Okai of San Diego, California; son and daughter in law, Lester Smith Jr. and Kimiya Smith of DeKalb, TX; brother, David Smith of New Boston, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Reatha Whiteman of Cooksville TX, brother and sister in law Micheal and Mandy Whiteman of New Boston TX, sister and brother in law Brenda and Brandon Butler of Hooks TX. He is also survived by his grandchildren Amirah Love of Little Rock AR, Arie Love Of DeKalb TX, and Amar Love of Okinawa, Okinawa; two special friends James and Teisha Williams of New Boston TX, a bonus daughter Kandice Wise, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.

Lester enjoyed being outdoors and taking care of his animals. He owned his own business a mobile petting zoo called Smith Farms. He loved spending time with his family.

Celebration of Life for Mr. Smith will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 2 PM at 1st Bikers Church of Texarkana with Bro. Matthew Butler officiating. Flowers may be sent to the family house 116 N East St. New Boston TX 75570.
