Patricia Tong

Patricia Ruth Reed Tong, "PATSY," age 90, from Foreman, AR, passed away on Saturday, June 22, at Hospice of Texarkana, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 6, 1934, in Foreman, AR.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Harlow Tong; parents, Isaac Carter Reed and Gertrude Elizabeth Shields Reed; brothers, Jack and Bill Reed; sister, Shasta Cartwright Trisler; and grandson, Timothy Enoch Tong.

She will be greatly missed by her family, including daughters Nancy Tong, Anita and her son-in-law Donald Autrey, and Mary and her son-in-law Russ Billingsley; son Isaac and her daughter-in-law Melinda Tong; grandchildren, April Verreault, Wayne Heath, Scott Heath, Stormy Tuttle, and Benjamin Harlow Tong; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Rose Reed and Joy Ann Tong Ayers; and several nieces and nephews. Special friends Sonja, Marty, Kaitlyn, and Kaleb Smith, along with their newest addition, Marlie Harlow Pennington, also survive her.

Patsy had many adventures traveling with her husband. She enjoyed hunting and trot-lining. She had a gift for cooking and crocheting that she shared with many charities and events. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working on puzzles. Many times, she said, "I've had a good life, the best life, and have always felt loved."

She will be interred at Gravelly Cemetery.
