Wendy Oliva

Wendy LeAnn Oliva, age 51 of New Boston, Texas departed this world at 10:29 a.m. on 7-11-24. She passed away at Christus St. Michaels in Texarkana, TX. She was born on 7-24-72 in Wichita, Kansas. 

She was preceded in death by her son Andrew Combs, her father Anthony (Tony) Jones, brother David Reese, and sister Kelly Castleberry. She leaves behind 3 surviving children, Jessica Bunch (Jones), Joshua Oliva, Sam Combs; 5 grandchildren, Abigail, Elizabeth, Katherine, Kason, Ellie; previous partner (and father to 3 of 4 children,) Robert Combs; Siblings- Tracy Duty, Trinity Barden, Rebecca Allen, Angela Collins, Jonathon Reese, her best friend and sister-in-law Lacy Reese; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Wendy loved animals and craft exchanges with family, friends, and people from around the world. She loved her children, grandchildren, and everyone she met. She had a lifelong struggle with heart and health problems, though through her quirk and humor, always kept a smile on her face and her light flooded into the hearts of everyone around her. Between hospital visits you could find her sharing happiness and cracking jokes with friends and family and online; touching the hearts of many that never even met her. 

Wendy didn't like funerals and sadness, so we've chosen to hold a virtual Celebration of Life on Friday July 19h, at 6 p.m. through Facebook.
