Dorothy Fay

Dorothy Ellen Fay, aged 51, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24th, 2025. Dorothy was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and wife. Dorothy was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 31st, 1973. When she was born, the doctor told her mother, Barbara, that she was the most beautiful baby they had ever seen, and when Dorothy came home, because she was so big and healthy, everyone thought she was three months old already. Dorothy was full of laughter and love. Whenever you heard her laugh, you just knew everyone else was smiling and laughing too. Dorothy made sure everyone felt like they mattered. She was a kind soul and dedicated her life to taking care of her seven kids, uplifting every single one of them to their fullest potentials. She not only was a wonderful mother but a wonderful sister and wife too. She would talk to her sisters and brother every day, and no matter how much they argued and fought, at the end of the day, she would stand up for her siblings no matter what, and no one would dare to come at them sideways ever again. She was an amazing person, and she showed her love for everyone, like her husband Scott. She would spend all day with him watching TV and talking to him. She loved him, and he loved her. When she found Scott, it was like a piece of her that was missing was finally complete. One day Scott came home with some ducks, and Dorothy was radiating with happiness. She loved her ducks so much; she would take great care of them like they were her second set of kids. That's how loving she was, and her family knows now that she's in heaven with her ducks and other loved ones who passed, laughing, telling jokes, and smiling.

She is survived by her loving mother, Barbara Dykes, and her devoted husband, Scott Currens. She leaves behind her siblings, Nikki Moore, Terri Dykes, and Greg Fay, as well as her children, Micah Murdock, Ted Murdock, Alexander Murdock, Flora Bell, John Murdock, Serafina Vazquez, and Damian Vazquez. Dorothy also adored her grandchildren, including Johnny G. Watson-Murdock, Jesse G. Crouch, and four additional grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Dorothy’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends as a beacon of love and resilience.
