Obituary
Gail Engh, age 86, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home on April 27, 2025. She was born March 21, 1939, in Mena, Arkansas, to Allie Hughes and Beulah Stanley Hughes.
Gail was preceded in death by her mother and father; her sisters Helen Bettencourt and Kate Wear; her brother Bob Hughes; her husbands Jimmy Mitchell and Norm Engh; and her son Jeff Mitchell.
She is survived by her son Greg Mitchell and his wife Melissa; her granddaughter Courtney Mitchell Smith and husband Brent; her grandson Jason Mitchell; her great-granddaughter Hailey Smith; her twin sister Gwen Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Gail was a long-time member of Beech Street Baptist Church and served for many years as the advertising manager of the DeQueen Bee newspaper.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 1:30 PM at the Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery Pavilion.
