Dad, It has been one week since you decided to rest. I am doing my best to walk in the shoes you wore. I know I may wear them now, but I also know I will never fill them. I promise to do my best to take care of Mom. You can count on me. I am so proud to have been your son. Everything in me has tried to emulate the father you were to my children. I know one day I will laugh again, but not today. My heart is so heavy with sorrow and my mind filled with tasks to do, but "I will be okay". That is a phrase I have heard you say so many times.
