Obituary

Lottie Mae Graham
May 16, 1946 – September 27, 2026

Lottie Mae Graham, 80, of Simms, Texas, ran into the arms of Jesus on September 27, 2026, at Christus St. Michael Hospital, leaving behind a family who loved her beyond measure and a lifetime of memories that will never be forgotten.

Lottie was the kind of woman you simply didn’t forget. She was absolutely beautiful, inside and out, and that beauty was something she was known for by anyone who knew her. When Lottie told you she loved you, you didn’t just hear it. You felt it. She loved deeply, and she made sure the people she loved never had to question just how much they meant to her. She loved the Lord deeply, and more importantly, she lived what she preached.

Lottie spent many years as a hairdresser before becoming an instructor at Texarkana College. She had a gift for making people feel seen, loved, and special. She had a servant’s heart, a strong faith, and a love for her family that never wavered. She was always there cheering, praying, and supporting, and she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with everything in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Babe and Odie Smith of Crossroads; two sisters, Bobbie and Jerry Sue; one brother, Shorty; and her son, Kyle.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charlie Graham; her sisters, Pat Thrash and Carole Ross; her brother, Chris Smith; her sons, Scooter Graham (Sherry) and Mitch Graham (Debbie); and her daughter, Rae Whitfield.

She leaves behind by her grandchildren: Jason Graham (Patsy), Kayla Graham, Shane Graham (Laykon), Megan Graham (Sammie), Tyler Pollard (Corey), Logan Graham, Kane Graham (Madison), Ashton Johnson (Dustin), Clint Graham (Lisa), Corey Graham, Ashley (Clayton), Brandon, and Dustin; and their spouses; her great-grandchildren, Graham, Bailley, Sawyer, Taylor, Bronc, Dallie, Miller, Heidi, Steelie, Ledger, Everett, Kenzleigh, Emberlyn, Cooper, Collin, and Clay.

Lottie was a bright light to everyone who knew her, and her love, kindness, and faith have left a lasting mark on all our hearts. She took her first good breath with the Lord, and we find peace knowing she is no longer struggling with the lung issues that made this life so hard for her.

Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched, the lessons she left behind, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
