Obituary

Benny Dan Snyder, age 53, of Redwater, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

Benny was born April 18, 1970, in Texarkana, TX.  He graduated from Redwater High School in 1988 and went on to earn a technical degree in welding from Texarkana College.  Benny was a lifelong resident of Redwater.

Benny was a very talented welder and worked in a variety of welding positions during his life. He enjoyed using his welding skills to build things. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time in the outdoors, but his very favorite hobby was fishing.  He spent much of his free time at a lake or on a creek bank with his fishing pole in hand.

Benny was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Welch Snyder. He is survived by his father, Jackson Phillip Snyder of Redwater; one sister, Barbara Trapp (Carlos); and five brothers, Phillip Snyder, Johnny Snyder (Sheila), David Snyder (Rhonda), Sam Snyder (Randi) and Joe Snyder, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at First Baptist Church Redwater Family Ministries Building, 105 Redwater Blvd East, Redwater, TX 75573.

Benny was a great person to me & my husband. We knew of his previous troubles but he was always genuine! Very talented man and he enjoyed searching for 1st editions of the great literary works…I got a few for him for his birthday about 3 years ago. R.I.P. Benny we loved you. Mat & Dixie Oglesby

Benny I hate this. I know we both grew up in Redwater but didn't know alot about you. I knew your brothers a lot being around the same age and school classes together. But my heart hurts for you and your family. I just hate this happened to you and Darlene. You are loved and missed. Rip

Benny and I were inseparable as kids .Where you found Benny you found Birdie and vice versa , he didn't care if I had wild looking hair we were best of friends simple as that .crazy how life takes us so far away from our childhood. Love you Benny , rest easy . Sending prayers to your family during this difficult time.
