Joe Adams from Cooper, Tx passed away on February 20, 2025 at a Texarkana hospital.

Joe Vernon Adams was born on June 27, 1963 to Eugene and Jo Ann Adams. Although he was born with spina bifida, he never let that stop him from doing anything he wanted to do. He loved spending time with family, friends and fishing.

He is survived by his parents, Eugene and Jo Ann Adams; sisters Cindy Bills (Tim) and Marilyn Harrison (Jay); daughters Rayann Billingsley (Kevin Arnold) and Samantha Smock (Michael); grandkids Casen Billingsley, Catherine Arnold, Cora Arnold, Caden Smock and Brody Smock; nieces and nephew Shanna Smith (Foxx), Brianna Lamb (Colin) Hunter Harrison (Jackie); and great nephew Isaiah Lamb.

A celebration of life will be held on March 8, 2025 at Pacio Baptist Church in Lake Creek, TX. A come-and-go visitation will be held from 10:30–11:45 with the service starting at 12:00. Please come as you are—dress comfortably and be yourself—as we honor Joe's remarkable life.

Jo loved to joke around and never let his disability slow him down. He had such a good outlook and a love for God and family.

I worked with Joe on the Cooper Cleanup Crew, he would wheel himself down to the square and help do whatever he could with his grabber and trash bag, no matter the weather. I enjoyed talking with him and working with him on the various tasks the crew worked on. he will be missed.
