Betty Ann Fomby, 81, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024. She was born on November 18, 1943, in Prescott, Arkansas, to Horace and Opal (Wake) Stone.
Betty was married to the love of her life, Maurice Fomby, for 25 wonderful years. Together, they built a life full of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her stepson, William Fomby; her son, Brian Wilson; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Elisha Low.
A lifelong Arkansan, Betty was proud to call DeAnn, Arkansas, her home. She was a dedicated member of Faith Baptist Church for 19 years, where her warm spirit and unwavering faith were a blessing to many. Betty was also a beloved teacher who touched the lives of countless students with her kindness, patience, and wisdom.
Her final resting place will be at White Oak Cemetery in DeAnn, Arkansas, where she will be laid to rest surrounded by the community she held dear.
Betty will be remembered for her deep love for her family, her faith, and the many lives she enriched through her teaching and friendship. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
