Roy Edward Hogeland, 69, of Texarkana, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Hospice of Texarkana.
Born on June 25, 1955, in California, Roy was the eldest of five children to Dorothy Lee and Earl Hogeland. A loving and devoted husband, father, and Pawpaw, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Earl Hogeland; three brothers, Robert, William, and James Hogeland; and a nephew, Robert Earl Hogeland.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Charlotte "Janie" Hogeland; five daughters and a son-in-law: Timeka Danna, Jennifer Hogeland, Jody Hogeland, Tiffany and Shawn Harris, and Margarett "Annie" Hogeland. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, including two special grandchildren, Alexis Hogeland and William Thompson, as well as Gary "Justin" and Jennifer Latham, along with three great-grandchildren. Roy’s only surviving sibling, his sister Peggy Canaday, and numerous other relatives also cherish his memory.
A memorial service will be held at a later date following cremation. Roy will be laid to rest in Henrietta Cemetery in Avery, Texas.
