Obituary

Bobby Jones, or known to most as “Bob” or “GrandBobby” left this world on November 20th, 2024, at his home surrounded by close friends and family. Throughout his life, Bobby enjoyed camping, working, and riding in his boat (Jenny XIII). Bobby loved spending time with his grandkids and living by his life motto “God is great, and life is good”.

Bobby is survived by his two beautiful daughters and their families. Amber Ford and her husband Cole Ogden of Maud, Texas.

Ashlan James and husband Doran James of Cavazos, Texas.

Grandchildren Shelby, Eleanor, and Saleen Ford.

Oliver, Zala, and Madeleine James.

He is also survived by his very special friend “Baby mama”, Karen Hearnsberger.

Bobby was the kindest, funniest, most hardworking man there was. He fought many tough battles in life, but it never got him down. From losing an arm at a young age, to fighting cancer, he always stayed positive and true to himself and always had a smile on his face! He will be greatly missed.

Celebration of Life service will be at 1st Bikers Church on Thursday, December 12th at 6:30 PM.

Bobby you will for sure be missed by many friends. You had such a outgoing personalty that many enjoyed sometimes the life of the party. Amber I am so sorry for your loss I know how much you loved your Dad and how much he loved you. Cherish all the memories that is something that no one can take from you. I pray that you find the strength to endure the upcoming days and months. We are not saying goodbye just see you again. I love you and am just a phone call away.

Bobby was a good man. He loved his family . He was always cheerful and fun to be around . No one could be sad around him cause he would do are say something that would make you laugh . He will be missed.

I worked with Bobby at Cooper Tire and he was always a sweet guy. He will be missed with his great personality and his devotion to his friends.

You never know how much of an impact you are gonna have in others lives. I had the pleasure of knowing Bobby 5 yrs. Feels like I knew him my whole life. In such a relatively short time, he deeply touched all our lives at Riverbend. As the saying goes, they truly did break the mold after making Bobby Jones! We miss him already. His memory will be alive with us forever. And I personally will miss him sitting in front of my desk & telling me the latest stories about the guys, about his kids & grandkids, or camping at the lake. My heart goes out to all of his family & dear friends. Fly high Bob!
