Obituary

Dustin Smith, a husband, loving father, brother, and son, passed away on October 17, 2024. Born and raised in Texarkana, he had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. Dustin could always make people feel at ease, bringing smiles and laughter wherever he went.

Family meant everything to Dustin. He is survived by his wife, Alyssa Smith, his two daughters, Kyrstin Smith and Whitney Smith, his mother, Janis Smith, and his sister, Shana Turnage, along with her husband, Josh Turnage. He is also survived by his aunts Gujuan Obenoskey, Teressa Guantt, and Elizabeth Jones, along with numerous other family members.

Dustin was preceded in death by his father, Burma Paul Smith, his brother Terry Paul Smith, his Aunt Debra Burnett, and his grandparents Melba Ballew, John F. Adcock Sr., Betty Barron, and Bonard Smith.

Though Dustin is no longer with us, his memory will live on with those who loved him. We will hold onto the laughter and moments we shared with him, cherishing the simple, good times forever.

Dustin was my brother from another mother. He had last request. I hope they being met.

Dusty was a great friend. I have so many great memories with him. And he was loved by everyone. I'm pretty sure there was a point where my mom liked him more than she did me and my sister, lol. Dusty you will be forever loved and missed. (He is in white cap in the pic). He always done stuff to help my parents out of he was over at the house and they were doing anything.

Dusty was always a pleasure to work with and be around. He always had a positive attitude and never complained. One of the hardest working men I ever had the pleasure of working with. Every time you seen him, he always greeted you with a smile, a handshake, and how is the family doing.
