Obituary

Jolynda Sue Rankin, 59, of Texarkana, TX, passed away on June 23, 2024. Born in Texarkana, AR, she was preceded in death by her parents Patricia Huskins and Tommy Ward, stepmother Ann Ward, brothers Pittman "Bubba" Tims and John Ward, sister Cindy Ward Pinto, and both sets of grandparents.

A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Jolynda's life was a testament to the power of family and community. She leaves behind her cherished children: Bridgett Bailey, Stevie and Alisha Rankin, Katrina and Justin Perry, Jacob and Summer Rankin, Josie Rankin and fiancé Jay Kemp. Jolynda's legacy continues through her siblings, Belinda and Steve Reding, Tajuana Ingram, Vickie Sink, Tammie and Ron Rose, Tommy and Lesa Ward, and Jimmy Ward and Frankie Nelson.

Her joy was further multiplied by her grandchildren Jesse, Emily, Christian, Atalee, Ryan, Max, Joe Joe, Justin Jr., Knox, Iris, Ivy, Eli, Sydney, Lennox, Graham, Asher, K.J., Charlee, Lilly, Zoey, Jaycee, and Lorelei. Jolynda was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Stetson and Weston, who brought her immense pride and happiness. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. 

Visitation and a celebration of Jolynda's life will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 6:00 PM at LifeHouse, located at 915 E St, Texarkana, AR 71854.

You will be so missed. You loved with all you had and were family to us. We will never forget you and our home will never be the same without you here with me 5 days a week. You were more than my friend you were my sister and I miss you immensely. You are no longer in pain and I’m sure you’re dancing with the butterflies and smiling and enjoying your eternal life now.
