Brandi LeAnne “BB” McLelland Cox, 49, passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.

Brandi was born June 11, 1977. She will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, her creativity, her love for her family and her faith in Jesus Christ.

BB never met a stranger. She welcomed people from all walks of life without judgment and had a natural way of making those around her feel comfortable and included. She was incredibly creative and talented and could craft, build or create almost anything she set her mind to. She was generous with her time and talents and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Her faith in Christ was an important part of Brandi’s life. She loved deeply, gave freely and carried a kindness with her that touched the lives of those around her.

Above all else, Brandi loved her family. Shortly before her passing, she married her longtime love, Jason Cox, celebrating a relationship and family they had shared for many years.

Brandi was preceded in death by her father, William Ellis “Billy” McLelland. 

She is survived by her husband, Jason Cox; her children, Slade Cox (Ayden), Camri Cox (Dawson), Jayden Cox, Zoie Cox and the light of her life, Jaci Ellis Cox; her grandchildren, Mavis Cox, Lilah Carter and Sawyer Cox; her parents, Cathy and Buford Hughes of Tumbling Shoals; her mother, Ann Jones; her siblings, Trish Lester Vail ‘#2’, Angie Hughes, Ashley Hughes, Jake Hughes and Shaylee Hughes Ward; her favorite niece, Madison Hughes; nieces, Sophie Joyner, Emmie Ward, and Maci Ward; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Funeral services for Brandi will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Missionary Baptist Church, 222 W. Antigo St., Stamps, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Arkansas Heart Association at heart.org.
