Obituary
In Loving Memory of Hunter
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hunter on August 2, 2026, who left this world far too soon at the age of 35.
Hunter was known for his caring heart, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need. He had a quiet way of making people feel valued, and those who knew him will remember his kindness, his sense of humor, and the genuine way he cared for others. He was a journeyman electrician and was a member of IBEW Local Union 1141. His life touched many people, and the memories he created with family and friends will be treasured for years to come.
Family meant everything to Hunter. He shared a special bond with those he loved, and his presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to the people closest to him. Although his time on earth was far too brief, the love he gave and the impact he made will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Hunter is survived by his loving parents, Kevin and Laura Bassett; his grandmother, Myrtle Buls; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Jonathon and Willow Bassett, and Byron and Amy Bryant; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Nick, Elaina, Braylee, and Skyler.
He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish the time they shared with him.
Hunter was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert “Bob” Buls and Maurine and Albert Bassett.
While his family grieves the tremendous loss of a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend, they also celebrate a life that was filled with love, compassion, and unforgettable memories. Hunter’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the love he freely gave.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Celebration of Life will be Friday August 7th 10:00-11:30 at Church on the Rock.
