Obituary

Bobby “Bob” Lewis Uncel Sr, departed on May 31, 2024, at the age of 75, under the care of a local hospice facility. Born on May 27, 1949, in Terrell, Texas, Bob made his home in Texarkana, where he spent the majority of his years. A proud Army Veteran, he later became the proprietor of Bob Uncel’s Painting until his retirement.

Bob was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Lee Uncel, his parents Lewis Uncel and Elizabeth Ellis, and his brother Ronny Mixon. 

Bob embraced his role as Papaw to his grandsons, Blake Lewis and Seth Lee. Among his pastimes was rooting for the Dallas Cowboys football team, a passion he shared with his grandsons.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of fifty-five years, Linda Uncel, his sons and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Jennifer Uncel, Jason Uncel, and his grandsons, Blake Lewis Uncel and Seth Lee Uncel, all residing in Texarkana, Arkansas. Bob is also survived by his sisters, Beth Jewell and Virginia Hyatt, his brother Donnie Mixon, and his dear friend and brother-in-law James Hyatt.

In accordance with Bob's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service held. The family expresses their gratitude to Hospice of Texarkana for their compassionate care and support during this time.
