Velma Copone

Velma Kaye Reed Copone, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on April 26, 2026, at her home in Texarkana, Arkansas. She was born on July 7, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, and was raised in Stephens, Arkansas.

Velma will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the love she poured into the people around her. She had a caring spirit and a gift for making others feel welcomed and loved. She enjoyed baking, spending time with family and friends, and creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.

She was preceded in death by her father, Malcom Reed; and her grandsons, Elisha Cummings and Jeremiah Armstrong.

Velma is survived by her children, Jon, Jeremy, Jessica, and Brandy; her cherished grandchildren, Grady, Jaycie, Arianna, Josiah, Azariah, Antonio, Isaiah, Micah, and Keziah; her beloved mother, Nancy Walker; her brothers and sister; and a wide circle of extended family and friends.

Her love, strength, and resilience will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
