Everett Schrum
July 02, 1950 - March 25, 2026
Obituary
With great sadness the Schrum family is announcing the passing of Everett Dale Schrum, 74, on March 25, 2026. During the last week of his life which he spent at hospice Everett was surrounded by his many friends and family members. Born on July 2, 1950 in Hammond, Indiana to Peter Nicholas Jr. and Catherine Brady.
Our family will carry his memory forward with love and laughter. Everett is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Pamela Schrum; one son Jason Schrum from Texarkana, Tx; one daughter Nicole Schrum from Mt. Belvieu, Tx; nephew Jon Kline (who is more like a son) and wife Aquaria. He has 3 brothers, Kenneth Schrum from Hammond, Indiana, who preceded him in death; Peter Schrum III and wife Eva from Ellenton, Florida; and Douglas Schrum and wife Gypsy from Sidell, Illinois. He also leaves many nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly.
Everett spent his life building FloorMasters along with his son, Jason, becoming the best in the area. He worked hard and played hard. Loved spending time with family and friends on the lakes and rivers in Texas and Arkansas; camping, boating, skiing, canoeing, just floating around enjoying nature. He loved to bowl, play volleyball and racquetball, and golf. Everett grew to love the blues, and we attended the King Biscuit Blues Festival 15 years in a row. His favorite sport was football and cheering on the Bears and the Cowboys; He also loved Nascar Racing. Halloween was Everett's favorite holiday, he would have won first prize every time if his wife was the judge.
A memorial service to celebrate Everett's life will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, April 3, 2026 at First Baptist Church Midway, 1415 FM 2148, Texarkana, Tx. Following the service, please join us back at the family home (410 S. Kenwood Rd., Texarkana, Tx.) to share memories and have light refreshments.
