Surrounded by family, Kathy "Watson" Coleman departed from this world on January 15, 2026. Born in 1952, Kathy lived a long and fulfilling life, cherishing moments with her loved ones and dedicating her time to making the world a better place through her work as a caregiver.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Martha and James Elmer Watson, along with two brothers, four sisters, and three nephews. Kathy is survived by her daughters, Lori Amor and husband Simon Amor, Kelly Elliott, Lacy Waters and husband CJ Waters, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marsha Watson, and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends. She became a mother for the first time in 1972, a joy she would experience two more times in 1975 and 1982. Her love for her daughters and family was profound and everlasting; her greatest accomplishment was the strong and loving bond among her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Kathy served as a beacon of compassion and care in her community through her nursing career. She spent 15 years working in the newborn nursery at Wadley Regional Health Center and later as a home health nurse, caring for children with disabilities. She embodied patience, hope, and unyielding compassion while providing comfort and care for homebound pediatric patients.

Outside of her professional life, Kathy enjoyed a wealth of activities. She held a deep love for both Disney movies and true crime documentaries. She was an avid watcher of Forensic Files and took tranquility in the art of crocheting and reading. She instilled the importance of reading and loved watching movies with her children and grandchildren. Kathy's favorite color, a vibrant and cheerful blue, mirrored her warm, friendly, and happy personality.

The legacy Kathy leaves behind is one of kindness and unyielding love for her family. Each of her descendants knows how much they were loved by her, a testament to the wonderful human being she was.

A memorial service to celebrate Kathy’s life will take place at Legacy Baptist Church in Genoa, AR, on Monday February 2nd at 11a.m.

As we say our final goodbye to Kathy, we remember the love, warmth, and kindness she shared with the world. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
