Thomas Brooks

Thomas Ray Brooks Sr., lovingly known as “Tommy,” age 75, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 10, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Wilma and Donald Hickmott; his father, Thomas David Brooks; and his beloved wife, Elaine Brooks.

Tommy is survived by his siblings, Rhonda Moore and her husband Walter “Boo” Moore, and Trudy Hickmott; his children, Kristy White; Channon Dodson and husband Brett; Gina Flickinger and husband Kevin; Donnie Huggins and husband Michael; Thomas Brooks Jr.; and Robert Brooks and wife Robyn. He also leaves behind a large and loving family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him great pride and joy.

Tommy had a deep love for his dogs - Rocky, Max, and Peanut - who were constant companions and rarely far from his side. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mowing his lawn. He could often be found listening to his police scanner, staying connected to the community in his own unique way.

In accordance with Tommy’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral or memorial service. A small private family gathering will be held to honor his life, celebrate his memory, and the love he leaves behind.
