Kenneth Ray Nickolson, of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away peacefully in his home on January 6, 2026. He was born in Sacramento, California on October 30, 1955 to Thomas and Edith Nickolson, and grew up with a happy childhood that instilled in him a lifelong passion for family and his love of the outdoors.
Kenneth spent most of his life farming across Arkansas before turning his career path to being an electrician. As a man of selfless support and a providing spirit, Kenneth found his drive in putting others first. He found his greatest inspiration and joy in his family. He was a beloved husband for 50 years to his beautiful wife Becky, and a devoted father to his son's Keith Nickolson, Tommy Nickson, and Charlie Nickolson; and his daughter Kenni Nickolson-McEntire. Kenneth was known as Poppa to his grandchildren Bayleigh McEntire, Natalie Nickolson, Raegan McEntire, Preston Nickolson, and Maebry Nickolson; and great grandson Ezra Nelson.
Kenneth was known for his playful and adventurous nature as well as playing jokes on family and friends. But he always made time to teach the importance of hard work, diligence, and integrity.
Survived by his wife and children/grandchildren, they continue to remember his brave and nurturing attitude. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Thomas and Edith Nickolson, brothers David Nickolson and Herman Nickolson, and sister Deborah Nickolson.
No funeral service will be held but the family will be holding a memorial at a later date.
May his legacy of love and resilience live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
