Obituary

Colleen “Suzi” Allen, age 60, of Vivian, Louisiana, passed away on December 14, 2025.

Born on June 4, 1965, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Suzi lived life full throttle, with her heart wide open and her sense of humor always close at hand.

Suzi attended North Caddo High School, and was never one to shy away from hard work or adventure. She spent her working years as a truck driver and boat builder; careers that suited her independent spirit and love of the open road. Whether behind the wheel or working with her hands, Suzi did everything her way and did it well.

Suzi had a passion for cooking and could make a meal feel like an event. She also loved Harley-Davidsons, embracing the freedom, roar, and wind-in-your-face joy they represented. Her faith was important to her, and she was a Christian who found community and connection through Cross Creek Cowboy Church.

Above all else, Suzi loved her family fiercely. She is preceded in death by her parents John Allen and Norma Norris.
She is survived by her children, Steven Norris Johnson and Thomas Leon Laing III; her grandchildren, Tate Norris Johnson, Brody Leon Laing, Ara Elizabeth Johnson, and Kaydance Marie Laing; and her siblings, Janet Allen Terry and Steven Wayne Allen.

Suzi will be remembered for her bold spirit, loving heart, and unforgettable personality. She lived loudly, loved deeply, and leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, and memories that will continue to be shared for years to come

Suzi was always a positive spirit, even when faced with pancreatic cancer. Her faith was strong, and her love for family was great. You will be deeply missed, but I know I’ll see you in heaven. She would want all to join her there by faith in Jesus Christ!
