Walter Rateliff

Walter Ray Rateliff, 73, of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 3rd, 2025.

Born on November 29th, 1953 to Hazel and James Rateliff. Walter was married to Barbara Rainwater (Rateliff) and together they had 6 children.

He is survived by his girlfriend Donita Zahn; his children, Kimberly Evonne Holmes, Walter Ray Rateliff Jr. (Melissa), Tina Diane Embrey, James Edward Rateliff, Christopher Lynn Rateliff, and Jennifer Leanne Taylor all of Texarkana TX; His grandchildren, Crystal Martin, Debra Embrey, Angel May, Bradley Embrey, Christopher Lynn Rateliff Jr., Camry Rateliff, Lexie Taylor, Braden Taylor, Jase Taylor, Karla Rateliff, Devin Rateliff, Tanner Lacefield, and
Tyler Lacefield; Sisters, Lavonne Kirtley, Patricia Sutton, and Barbara Hinds; and a number of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Rateliff; Brother, Hank Rateliff; Sisters, Voncile Matthews, Carolyn Price, Madean Hoover, Louise Johnson, Zonnie Mangum, and Diane Williams.

A celebration of Walter's life will be held at a later date.
