Obituary

Marion Carter Jr., affectionately known as "Bud," was born on April 15, 1941, and peacefully passed away on March 26, 2024. He was preceded in death by his son, Roger Dale Carter, and his parents, MC and Ida Mae Carter.

Bud is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Hudson Carter, his son Marion J. Carter, daughters Doris Annette Kilcrease and Lola Jean Williams, and stepson Michael Eric Cory. He also leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren: five grandsons, three granddaughters, three great-grandsons, and three great-granddaughters.

Bud was deeply passionate about outdoor activities and cherished every moment spent in nature.

A celebration of his life will be held on May 18, 2024, at the Church of Christ in Genoa, Arkansas, at 12:00 noon. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Uncle Bud, that is what he was called in my home. That's how he felt in my heart. I loved his stories and would find myself hanging on his next word. His laugh, the twinkle in his eyes....the full chested stories of his hunts!! I have never been around someone so full of enjoying life as Uncle Bud. I know Kathy will be so lonely, but I am sure if she closes her eyes she will see his smile and hear his laugh. I would like to thank this family for sharing such a wonderful man with me. God be with you all!!
