Obituary
Paul Grant
March 10, 1946 – October 6, 2025
Paul Grant, 79, of Texarkana, TX, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025. He was born on March 10, 1946, in Hope, Arkansas, to George Thomas Grant Sr. and Mary Louise Grant.
Paul was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose life reflected kindness, integrity, and hard work. He married the love of his life, Gina Grant, and together they shared many years filled with devotion, mutual respect, and a home centered on family.
A proud veteran, Paul faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a Private First Class, completing four years of honorable service, including time in Vietnam. His dedication to his fellow servicemen continued throughout his life as an active member of the Marine Corps League and the Vietnam Veterans of America, where he found deep camaraderie and purpose in supporting his brothers and sisters in arms.
Paul was also a faithful member of Liberty Eylau Baptist Church, where he found joy and fellowship among his church family. He loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing at Wright Patman Lake-his “office,” as he fondly called it.
Paul was preceded in death by his Parents and brother, George T. Grant Jr and brother-in-law Jim Morris.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gina Grant; his daughter, Monica Wendeburg; and his cherished grandson, Nicholas Wendeburg. He is also survived by his sisters, Lynda Morris and Sharon Harrison; and his brother, Gary (Cindy) Grant, sister-in-law Margit Grant, Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law, Jerry & Marinette Merritt, and Brother-in-law Ramer Lopez. He also leaves behind a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and close friends to cherish his memory.
Throughout his life, Paul’s gentle nature and deep compassion touched all who knew him. He found fulfillment not only in his professional endeavors but in the way he treated others with dignity and respect. He was known for his warm smile, wise counsel, and steadfast love for his family.
A memorial service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Liberty Eylau Baptist Church, 5605 S. Lake Dr., Texarkana, TX 75501. With Dr. Dwight Lowrie and D. Lowrie officiating.
Paul will be remembered with love and gratitude for the joy and strength he brought to those around him. His legacy of faith, family, and kindness will continue through the lives of his loved ones. May he rest in eternal peace.

Sincere condolences to family and friends of Paul. Like Rick, I remember many a time me and Gary zipped around Southern Pines and all around LE in that blue VW. Thank you for your service, Paul. RIP.

Condolences to the Grant family. When we were kids, Gary would “borrow” Paul’s VW Bug and we would terrorize LE and lake Wright Patman. RIP, Paul.
