Leslie West

Leslie Keith West passed away on September 27th 2025 at the age of 73 at St. Michael’s Hospital. Keith was born in Texarkana, Ark on July 13, 1952 to Lloyd and Marie West. As a 15-month old, he was chosen as “Baby of the Week” and featured in the Texarkana Gazette. Keith graduated from Redwater High School on May 29, 1970. He was a life long Dallas Cowboys fan, appreciator of vintage American muscle cars, lover of German Shepards, especially his best bud- Curly and never stopped listening to classic rock of the 70s and 80s.

He is survived by daughter Shannon Russell and her husband Chance of Redwater, Texas and son Sean West and his wife Sarah of Flower Mound, Texas. Two grandchildren—Mylie Burkland and Charlee Burkland of Redwater, TX. Sisters- Laura Russ and Jerrie Yates of Redwater, TX. Brothers Scott West of Galveston, TX and Perry West of Simms, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd & Marie West and a sister, Denise Earnest of Texarkana, Ark. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to Haven Homes Texarkana.
