Obituary
Frances Pittman, born December 9, 1938, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 3:16 a.m., surrounded by love. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and devotion that will be cherished forever.
A devoted mother, Frances dedicated her life to raising her two sons, Howard W. Pittman, Jr. and Brian S. Pittman, who will forever be grateful for her guidance, unconditional love, and steady presence. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua W. Pittman, Caleb D. Pittman, Rachael Pittman, Jaxon Pittman, Samuel Pittman, and Pierson Pittman, Devin Pittman and Lauren Pittman; her niece, Tammy Gross; her nephews, Michael Day and Timothy Day; and her sister-in-law, Linda Day, along with countless friends who held her dear.
Frances was a woman of many talents and a deep well of creativity. She loved to write poetry, expressing her heart and spirit through words. Her passion for music filled her home and the lives of those around her, whether she was playing the piano, strumming the guitar, or singing with joy. She shared her gifts freely, and in doing so, brought light and beauty to all who knew her.
Her friends and family remember her most for her warmth. Frances had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, always ready with a smile, a hug, and a kiss both when you walked through the door and when you left. She embodied generosity, kindness, and compassion, never hesitating to put the needs of others before her own.
She touched countless lives with her gentle spirit, her laughter, and her unwavering love. Frances will be remembered not only as a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, but also as a woman who lived her life with grace, humility, and an open heart.
Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the love she gave, the memories she created, and the example she set for all who knew her.
Pastor Matt Graves will lead her memorial service at 10 AM on October 4 in the chapel at first Baptist Church in New Boston, Texas.
Flowers can be sent to the church up until Thursday or on Saturday. (Their office is closed on Friday). The chapel, which is separate from the auditorium is on the north side of the church so use the parking lot entrance closest to Bates Rolf funeral home.

Singing on the porch with Fran. Fran loving on Beau my dog and giving him treats. He kept going to her door. It's so hard to get my mind past the months, this last year of spending time with Fran when she hurt so bad. My mind keeps seeing her in the nursing home bed and remembering her wanting to go home. Well now my dear friend is home, finally home.
