Obituary
Peggie, aged 82, peacefully departed on the morning of Saturday, March 2, 2024, embraced by the love of her family. She was born on January 24, 1942, to George and Quinnie Ross. Peggie spent many years as a dedicated waitress, cherishing travel, dance, and spontaneity throughout her life. A devout Christian, she found great joy in the company of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Quinnie Ross; two husbands, Carl Tyson and James White; and ten siblings: Jessie J Ross, George E Ross, Eligh P Ross, James E Ross, Travis A Ross, Tommy R Ross, Roger D Ross, Stanley W Ross, Marvin D Ross, Lee A Ross, and one sister, Lorene Ross. Peggie is survived by four sisters and one brother-in-law: Betty Wharton of Nash, TX, Shirley Powell of Texarkana, TX, June and Wyvon May of Simms, TX, Maxine Elder of Simms, TX, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Rock Creek Baptist Church, 4341 FM 2149, Maud, TX, 75567, officiated by Brother James Ross and Brother Steve Minter. Memorial flowers or donations can be sent to 1603 N. Kings Hwy, Nash, TX, 75569.
