In loving memory of Dennis Shaw, who passed on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on March 15, 1966, Dennis to Glen Johnson and Sharon Gardner Johnson. He was a graduate of Hooks High School of 1985. He leaves behind a legacy of unwavering dedication and service in his community, notably as a Firefighter for Hooks, TX, for an admirable 25 years.
Dennis Shaw's profound impact extended beyond his professional endeavors. He pursued higher education at the EMT college, honing his skills and knowledge to become a competent and compassionate first responder. Dennis's commitment to public safety was unmatched, with his tireless efforts earning him respect and gratitude from all who crossed his path.
For over two decades, Dennis Shaw dutifully served as the down marker for Hooks Football Games, lending his expertise to the beloved local team. Through rain or shine, he stood on the sidelines, exemplifying the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie that endeared him to players, coaches, and fans alike.
In his personal life, Dennis was a devoted husband to Elizabeth Shaw, sharing a partnership built on love, trust, and shared values. His presence brought warmth and joy to those around him, and his absence will be keenly felt by family, friends, and the community he faithfully served.
He is preceded in death by his parents Glen and Sharon. Left to cherish his memory are is loving wife Elizabeth, one daughter Angel Shaw, one son Danny Shaw, grandchildren Rylan, Tristan Kingery, four sisters Christie and Mike Scott, Angela and Randy Scott, Leoana Shaw, and Mellissa Shaw, step brother Glen Johnson, and many other friends and relatives.
Memorial service will be announced by the family and at their requests any donations can be sent to their home at 130 Myrtle in New Boston TX.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tri-State Cremation and Funeral Services.
