Waylan Cook

Waylan Scott Cook, age 49, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died on Sunday, August 24, 2025.

He was born on July 28, 1976, in Monte Vista, Colorado, to Harley Wayne Cook and Anna Lorene (Fair) Presley. His love for family kept him going. His son and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, leather crafting, welding, and telling a good story. His memory for details was always sharp as a tack.

Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Stevie Crawford.

He is survived by one son, Hunter Threat of Ashdown; one sister, Terrie Crawford of Winthrop, Arkansas; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Melanie Cook of Texarkana, Arkansas; grandchildren, Micah Threet, Levi Threet, Ryder Threet, Remington Threet and Hadley Threet; step-mother, Debbie Cook of Longview, Texas; step-father, J.L. Presley of De Queen and a number of nieces and nephews.
