Walter Henderson DeVore

Walter Henderson DeVore, a cherished pilot, mechanic, and devoted family man, passed away on April 28, 2025, in Texarkana, Texas, at the age of 86. Born on May 30, 1938, in Conway, Arkansas, Walter's life was characterized by dedication, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.

Walter's extensive career as a pilot and mechanic was marked by a mastery of his craft that few could match. He earned the respect of his peers and industry leaders alike, owing to his strong character and remarkable professionalism. He approached every challenge with kindness and consideration, always taking the time to extend support to others.

Walter served honorably in the Airforce, where he further honed his skills and laid the foundation for a distinguished career. His military service is a testament to his commitment to excellence and service to his country.

As a loving father and grandfather, Walter found immense joy in spending time with his family. He is survived by three sons: Stanley, Wade, and Fred DeVore; and first wife Joanne Coffee special girlfriend Linda Bartholomew, as well as sisters Mickey Gary and Joan Greer. He was the proud grandfather of four grandchildren: Bradley, Joycelyn, Curtis, and Taylor, who will forever carry his legacy in their hearts.

Preceding him in death were his brother, Steve DeVore, his beloved parents, Charles and Ina DeVore. Walter's kind spirit, strong ethics, and dedication to family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was well-lived, leaving a lasting impact on family, friends, and colleagues alike.

Family will have a private service in honor of Walter.
