Thomas Porier

Thomas Lynn Porier, age 46, of Hope, AR was born on March 6th, 1978 to Roy Porier and Cheryl Mitchell in Fort Worth, TX and passed away May 10th, 2024 in Hope, AR.

Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Roy Porier.

Thomas was raised in Roanoke, TX and went to school at Northwest High School in Justin, TX. Once grown, he put down roots in Texarkana, AR to raise his family. Later in life, he moved to Hope, AR to be closer to his grandchildren.

He was passionate about his work as a lube technician and mechanic and was very hardworking for the majority of his life. He spent his free time competing in pool tournaments and dart tournaments mostly locally with his friends. He was very competitive and racked up several awards. And of course, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys any chance he got.

Anyone that knew Thomas knows he had a strong will, short temper, and was stubborn as all get out. He loved to crack jokes and have everyone laughing. He was generous to anyone needing his help and sociable to all. Most of all, he loved his kids and grandkids and loved making memories with them.

Thomas would want you all to celebrate his life with a shot of Vodka or Crown, while rooting on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, for old times’ sake.

Thomas’ memory is left to be cherished by his mother Cheryl Mitchell of Fort Worth, TX; daughter Sarah Porier (Brian Green) of Hope, AR; son Charles Porier of Hope, AR; daughter Rebekah Porier of Hope, AR; grandchildren Gunnar Green and Abigail Green of Hope, AR; brother Kenneth Porier of Fort Worth, TX; Anthony Mitchell of Champaign, IL; Michael McDaniel of Altus, OK; his children’s mother, Rachel Cleavenger of Hope, AR; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins left to cherish his memory.

A private family memorial will be planned for a later date.
