Raleigh Duane Clemmer, born on September 7, 1954, in Texarkana, Arkansas, peacefully departed this life on May 22, 2024, at the age of 69. Raleigh dedicated 27 years of service to FCI, where he served as the supervisor in the Machine Shop until his retirement in 2011. Outside of work, he found solace in nature, indulging his passion for fishing and hunting. Raleigh's faith was an integral part of his life, and he was an member of Redwater Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Rheta Clemmer, and his sister, Donna Collvins. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 17 years, Elaine Ruff-Clemmer, his three children, Nicole (David) Hon, Alex (Julie) Clemmer, and Kelly Barber, as well as his two bonus children, Eric (Leilani) Hilton and Dana (Justin) Waltz. Raleigh is also survived by his sister, Shelly (Rodney) Jones, his brother-in-law, Dale Collvins, and his nine adored grandchildren: Nicholas (Arlette) Hon, Aiden, Andy, and Alijah Clemmer, Bella Barber, Alana, and Bryce Hilton, Axel, and Zeplynn Waltz.
Raleigh's generous spirit touched many lives, and his memory will be forever cherished by numerous relatives and special friends. In honor of his compassionate nature, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Texarkana in lieu of flowers.
