Melissa Ann Wallen-Sephton, age 47, beloved mother of three and devoted wife to Christian Sephton, peacefully entered her eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the morning of September 25, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in 1977 in Denton, Texas, Melissa grew and became the caring and selfless woman she was known to be. Always generous with her time, Melissa touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion.
Melissa met the love of her life, Christian, in December 2023, and they were joyfully married in March 2024. She was also a proud grandmother, known affectionately as "Mimi," to five grandchildren, with one more on the way. Her love and presence will be deeply missed by her husband, her children—Brittani, Rachel, and Ethan—and her extended family, including her father Mike & his wife Geneva, Jeremy, David, Uncle Ken & his wife Carla Wallen, and her Aunt Debbie and cousin Josh. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing the angels have welcomed her home. Until we meet again, we will forever cherish the memories of such a remarkable woman, beautiful mother, and cherished "Mimi."
A memorial service to honor Melissa’s life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 11:11 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 301 N. Bowie St., New Boston, Texas, 75570. Following the service, a Life Celebration will take place at 109 Anderson St., New Boston, Texas, 75570, including a balloon release and a shared meal in her memory. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be streamed live on the Faith Baptist Church - New Boston, Texas public Facebook page.
