On November 21, 2023, Lloyd Duane Stokes gracefully danced his way into Heaven. Born on January 16, 1958, at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, to Lowell Stokes and Mary Harmon Dunham, Duane was known for his infectious smile and warm hugs, always declaring proudly, "I'm Lloyd Duane Stokes."
He had a deep passion for classic country music, relishing moments on the dance floor. As a devoted fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the legendary Elvis Presley, Duane's enthusiasm for life was truly unmatched.
Preceded in death by his parents, Duane leaves behind a legacy cherished by his favorite aunt, Kay Gaddis, and Jim, his brother Gary Stokes, along with a multitude of cousins and extended family members.
Duane's final resting place will be a private family burial, honoring his memory with the love and respect he deserves.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Hospice of Texarkana at www.hospiceoftexarkana.org or through mailed contributions to 2407 Galleria Oaks Dr, Texarkana, TX 75503.
