Linda Kay Stapleton

February 4, 1945 — September 24, 2024

Linda Kay Stapleton, age 79, passed away on September 24, 2024, peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones.

Linda was born on February 4, 1945, in Austin, TX to her parents, Raymond Miller and Willie Mae Miller. Linda attended Eastern New Mexico University, where she graduated with two business degrees. After college, she worked at Target, where she ultimately retired from. In her later years in life, she settled down in Texarkana, TX. She was blessed to live with her granddaughters, who always made sure she had her lipstick on, Perry Mason was playing on the television, and she never ran short of her favorite drink, Dr. Pepper. Most of all, Linda loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a simple, humble, and spunky woman by all who knew her and loved her.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, and two great-granddaughters, Sophia Vaughn and Alannah Anaya.

She is survived by her two children, Mikeal Stapleton of Roswell, NM, and Melissa Vaughn, and her husband, Kenneth, of Ashdown, AR; her grandchildren, Hannah Stapleton, Allison Stapleton, Mikeal Stapleton, Courtney Vaughn, Dakota Vaughn, Sheriden Hall, and husband, Cless, Olivia Stapleton, Scarlett Vaughn, Darby Vaughn, Lillian Vaughn, and Walker Vaughn; her brother, Donald Miller; many great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.

Her family would like to extend a special thanks to Concho Hearts Hospice for their wonderful help and service.

A memorial will be held at New Boston Church of God, at a later date.
