Jesse Dickens

Jesse Dickens, passed away on November 7, 2023, at the age of 91. He was born on September 21, 1932, in Maud, Texas, and spent his life in the service of others as a deputy sheriff for over 15 years. Jesse was a man of integrity, a devoted family man, and an avid hunter and fisherman. Jesse Dickens was the son of John and Bertie Dickens. He was predeceased by his parents as well as his daughter Kay. Jesse’s memory lives on through his daughter Elaine Wesberry, who he cherished and was deeply proud of. Jesse is survived by his daughter Elaine Wesberry and was a loving grandfather to Rachell and her wife Michelle Springer, Angie Cowdery, Valerie Ryan, and Michael Dickens. He cherished his time as a great-grandfather to Brian Dickens, Kristen, Kylie, Peighton, and Cole Springer. Jesse Dickens will be remembered not only for his service to the community but also for the love and care he poured into his family. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, strength, and a deep love for the natural world. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
