Helen L. Harvin Swint, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away at her home in Texarkana, Arkansas on April 21, 2025, surrounded by her cherished family and friends. Born on December 15, 1937, to Herman and Mattie Harvin, Helen’s warmth and love for life shone brightly throughout her years.
A devoted homemaker, Helen found joy in the simple pleasures of life—cooking delicious meals, indulging in games of cards and dominoes, and occasionally testing her luck at the casino. However, nothing brought her more happiness than gathering around the table with those she loved, sharing laughter and countless memories over cups of coffee.
She is now reunited in peace with her parents, her late husband Jack Swint, her three children’s father, and Albert Witt. She also joins her six siblings, Clara, Ovis, Mildred, Gladys, Herman, and Arnold, who will forever hold a special place in her heart.
Helen's legacy lives on through her three children: Jackie Swint, Tommy Swint, and Betty Garrett, all of Texarkana, AR. She is survived by her beloved sister, Alene Williams, and five grandchildren—Greg Garrett, Chris Garrett, Brittany Swint Gregory, Holly, Kayla, and her great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Journie, Wyatt, and Lane Gregory. Her bond with special nieces Kimberly Mitchell, Rene Kirschstein, and Darlene Cole, as well as dear friends Anne George and Joyce Tussey, enriched her life immeasurably.
A service to honor Helen's remarkable life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Circle J Cowboy Church on Hwy 237, led by Bro. Todd Hervey and Bro. Wallace Edgar.
The warmth of Helen's love and her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Arrangements are entrusted to Tri-State Cremation and Funeral Services.
