Freda Annette Moe peacefully entered Glory on October 12, 2024. A beloved woman who was known for her kindness, humor, and unwavering spirit. Born in Mulberry, AR on August 26, 1935 to Charles Elmer and Freda Grace Brown, she grew up in Tucson, AZ.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents, her cherished son, Charles Fitzgerald, two sisters, Wanda Kilpatrick and Sue Baine, and three husbands, S.L. Fitzgerald, Glen Castelina, and Robert Moe. She is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Billy Young of Texarkana, TX and her sister, Beverly Tyree, of Florence, AZ. She was blessed with eight grandchildren including Justin Young, Keely (Tracy) Brown, and Sheena (Jet) Richardson, all from Texarkana, as well as twenty-three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Also left to honor her memory are a great many friends.
After two decades of relocating with her Air Force husband, they retired to Vancleave, MS where they finished raising their children and where Freda made her home for the next 50 years. She owned her own business, Corn Dog 7 in Gautier, MS and Biloxi, MS. She bought her own home and filled it with everything hummingbird! Freda had a passion for bowling, square dancing, Bluegrass festivals, and houseplants.
Having been raised in the Assembly of God, she attended church at Vancleave RLDS with her musician husband, Bob. A lot of their lives revolved around country, bluegrass and Christian music.
In 2023, due to deteriorating health, Freda was brought to live with and be cared for by her granddaughter, Keely. Freda courageously fought dementia with incredible strength. Many thanks to Hospice of Texarkana for making Freda's life more comfortable in her final days.
