Evelyn Herron

Evelyn “Kay” Herron, 71, of Texarkana, Texas passed away on September 20, 2023. She was born February 12, 1952 in Contra Costa, California to Eddie Lindsey and June Snell. Kay was a longtime resident of Texarkana. Kay had a fantastic sense of humor and had a passion for playing bingo. Kay loved watching Jerry Springer and yelling “Ricky Joe”. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Lindsey, mother June Lindsey and two children: son, William Ray Foster and daughter, Corwellia “Coco” Michelle Herron. Survivors include her husband, Ricky Herron of Texarkana; two sons, Eddie Foster and wife Janette of Texarkana, TX. James Hall and wife Amanda of Mabank, TX.; daughters, Bessie Lewis and husband Jeff of Porter, TX., Beanita Balmin and Jason Balmin of Queen City, TX.; six grandsons, seven granddaughters and six great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her numerous other family and friends. The Family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Retreat Kenwood for their care and support in looking after Kay. At Kay’s request, no funeral will be held, the family will have a private gathering to spread Kay’s ashes and a celebration of life at a later date.
