Eddie Mendez who left us on February 23rd, 2024 was a devoted husband, father, brother, cousin and friend. He was born on September 28th, 1983, lived a life full of love, grit and determination, and will be profoundly missed by his dear ones.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brandi Mendez. Their love story was the stuff of fairy tales. They weathered all storms together and their bond was unbreakable. Eddie's adoration for Brandi was evident in the affectionate sparkle that always lit his eyes when he glimpsed at her.

Eddie was a doting father to his four children; Adriana Pirkey, Aaliah Mendez, Jaxon Mendez and Liliana Mendez. His children gave him immense joy and he cherished every moment spent with them. His children remembers him as a 'superhero' who always made sure that his family was safe and happy.

Eddie is survived by his devoted mother-in-law, Cynthia Simmons, and her fiancé, Robert Hardy, sister-in-law, Kristina Burchfield, and her husband, Boo Burchfield who held a special place in his heart.

Eddie and his best friend Charlie Wright, shared an unparalleled bond, akin to brothers, enriching each other's lives with laughter and companionship.

He is also survived by his father David Mendez, siblings Sandra Mendez, Yvonne Mendez, Cesar Mendez, and his cousins, Teresa and Juan Degollado with many nieces and nephews.

Eddie was a man of many talents. His favorite recreational activities included working on his vehicles and building things out of wood and metal. A skilled craftsman, his handiwork will remain as a testament to his creativity and ingenuity.

He held a fondness for simple pleasures; If you were around Eddie a lot you would always see him eating his favorite snacks such as Ramen noodles, peanuts, and pork skins.

He enjoyed an occasional ice-cold beer while working outside. He always had music playing wherever he went. His favorite movies were a reflection of his diverse tastes, ranging from the dramatic "Blood in Blood Out", to the artful "Oscar".

One could always spot Eddie in a crowd with his favorite colors of burnt orange and lime green. Colors as vibrant and dynamic as the man himself.

Eddie was a beacon of strength, resilience, and love. He has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His spirit will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched.
